  • Complete with all original hardware, as pictured.
  • Great condition and function normally. Normal wear and tear.
  • I'm the original owner. I bought them new and have used them since 2018.
In my opinion, the most well-designed hood damper kit for the twins: impressive build, sturdy construction, and a joy to use. Also probably the highest-lift hood struts for the platform: the opening angle meets or exceeds the service position on the hood.

The dampers have a somewhat mild operating pressure by design.
  • Benefits:
    • The struts are advertised to support an intermediate "car show" position (I personally never really used it).
    • I think the struts would also be appropriate for use with carbon or composite hoods.
  • Con:
    • If there are gusting winds >~15 MPH, the hood is susceptible to getting blown closed if your car is out in the open. Never a problem in the garage, though. They've always been this way for me, ever since I first installed them. The way I got around this was to use a rubberized C-Clamp as a physical stop on windy days (see included image)

I'm selling these because I've always wanted to collect and now have TOM'S hood dampers.
