Well bad news guys, after 4.5 years, my power steering light has returned and it will not go away for any significant period of time, this time.

I'm glad to have this thread as a resource to do further troubleshooting and I'm glad it stayed away for so long.

A whole nother story, but I'm not at all happy with the service and troubleshooting I have received from my local Subaru dealer over the past 5 weeks or so worrying about this, but I am going to bring it home from the dealer today and start tearing into stuff up on my lift.

If anyone has seen any updates on this issue on the forum that I've missed over the past 4.5 years of not getting the error light, please let me know.

I'll add updates to this thread as I dive into the issue, in hopes it might help someone in the future. I also have gotten a few DMs in my absence of people with the same issue, so maybe I can help by adding more info to this thread.
