Welcome to the fun.
1. RE's like higher pressures. I have a DST first gen (coilovers, etc) and run 35psi up front, 33 rear. I was running 30/28 earlier this season thinking with coilovers and stiffer sidewalls, lower is better. Wrong. 35 seems to be the ideal pressure for both grip and feel. Night and day difference. 35/33 should be a good starting point.
2. Press and hold the traction control one closest to you for 5 seconds. Two orange lights will appear on the dash. You're good after that. Track mode only turns things off about 70%.
3. Have fun and don't expect to be top in class or at the event. I think I was literally 48th out of about 50 at my fist event back in 2010. Do go get a ride along with other people and see how they drive and what the car is capable of - especially other twin owners in DS and DST/CST.
