I have owned many carbureted vehicles and I will say that a supercharged BRZ is as close to carbureted as you can get. Instant throttle response and it listens to the driver. Something that fuel injection doesn't usually do.
When I installed the Cosworth, first thing I noticed was the exhaust note was deeper. Even at idle. It's simply pushing more air through all the time. And with a belt driving the supercharger, It's directly connected to the crankshaft which results in no lag. It's just feels like a bigger engine.
I like to focus on the solid black line. It's virtually linear. No more dip, but it pulls to redline. The area under the curve is enormous. IMO, this car was made for a supercharger.

Haha!! My man who also loves Carbs, yes i bet with a Sc it does feel like the instant response that a carbureted motor produces. I just will not drop the thousands of $$ on a Sc kit or turbo for this car, i am maxed out N/a on mine and i guess its acceptable for me, much quicker than bone stock for sure. I am working on getting another 60s/70s muscle like i had yrs ago, but will still keep the Frs as my awesome handling sexy sports car. Imo the 86 platform is one of the sexiest cars produced in the last 20 yrs or so.
