Speaking of reversing stories - have I told this one?
When I was about 10 years old I was backing up our steel wheeled tractor to hitch up to a disk. My grandfather was between the tractor and disk, holding up the tongue of the disk so as it could get coupled.
I was leaning waaay back to see the hitch when my foot SLIPPED OFF of the clutch pedal. My grandfather's leg was trapped between the steel wheel of the tractor and the 10 foot disk -
After I pulled up, he yelled for me to run up the farm house and get my mom to take him to the doctor!
