I have had this issue for a while now. On another forum someone suggested the purge valve had failed. I pulled the line from the purge valve to the throttle body and blocked off both. The car ran much better but the milage was lower. A code eventually came up for the evap can.
I've read that the purge value should fail closed and they usually don't fail. This seems like it's failing open. I recently found it is supposed to be closed a start up then open when it's warmed up. I'm going to test that. It then should be closed again when wared up at idle. This is when the code happens.
Does anyone have additional ideas?
