I've had a paying job since I was 10 years old of one sort or another. 56 years just feels like long enough.
Still, as @ Sapphireho eludes, I find it hard to say I'm retired particularly since I don't have pension to speak of. Basically I'm going to be "self" employed of sorts with a little help from Uncle Sam.
Fortunately, its not a money concern just a fear of the unknown. Seriously doubt I'll regret it though! |

I'm still getting used to retirement and it will be 6 years in May.
I get to start social security next year. Yay, pay raise! I'm buying a new truck. I'm getting a 250 diesel and going to pull my helicopter around just to show it off.
