I think after much indecision, and a lot of research, Im going with the Continentals Extreme Contact Sport 2. Reason being, they seem be perfect for my purpose road/tract/auto-X as they came recommended by both Tire Rack and GRMS.

The ECS2 are a revised version of their predecessor but Continental improved the dry grip while still maintaining wet grip, on average, they outpaced their Michelin rival. Ride was the quietest out of all its contenders on the "Endurance 200TW". They may need a little extra to get up to heat, but the numbers plus the price ($700) after rebates, was too good to overlook.

I think I must improve on my driving before I start getting serious and competing in a proper class, instead of almost cheating my way out of novice class with tires that will mask my mistakes.
