Now that the entire 1st season is done. Started watching MF Ghost finally. The plot armor is strong.
The whole "Grip-to-Weight" ratio rule is kinda BS handwaving if you ask me.
The Exige is a Series 3 (the last one) and only weighed 2450-2550 depending on the model. (Front) 195/50R16 (Rear) 225/45R17 Those are the stock tire sizes for easily the lightest car in the show.
And the MR/RR/AWD cars have a handicap on top of that. Which isn't gone into detail for what the handicap is either.

So what is this "Grip-to-Weight" ratio number?
Someone did the math. Yeah, it don't work for ALOT of the top 15.
Too much weight/power for the top dogs if they were held to that rule. And that's going of the stock size of the tires for them.
So IMO an even more dumbed down, more unbelievable version of Initial D.

Edit: Just realized how lazy Shuichi Shigeno has become too.
ALOT of the shots in the anime are straight photographs with a few this traced over digitally. Then the characters are just animated over it.
I originally thought it was a lazy studio choice. But nope. It's in the manga too and is super obvious.
