A forum I've been a member of for about 17 years is now a VS site. It's not the best, and traffic is super low - much lower than ft86club.com - but it still functions, and to me is perfectly usable/readable. Of course, there are tons of missing images/dead links. But considering that's mostly due to most image hosting sites shutting down/making changes in the past 20 years, I can't really pin the blame on VS.

I can however SEARCH that forum for info 20 plus years of info/posts. I can view user profiles and hit the "NEW POSTS" button and it actually functions rather than giving a database error.

Overall, I'm just happy that VS keeps a forum up and running for me and like 4 other regulars. If nothing else, it keeps a lot of info accessible.

So IMO being under the VS umbrella probably isn't the worst thing that could happen.

I could be wrong though. Maybe the VS transition was the reason there are so few regulars on that site now. I wasn't frequenting at the time that happened. But mostly I think it's that most 7th gen Celica owners are only on instagram & facebook instead of forums (or really, I suppose maybe tik tok, or whatever other thing the youngsters are using these days? )
