Seems like the crumple zones are good. The wheels are meant to twist out of the way, the motor drops, so to save the battery. I wouldn't expect the rear wheels to turn too or the rear light bar to pop off, but oh well.
It might have thick steel like "how they use to make cars", but it is a good thing they don't make em like they use to. But realistically, forces will likely transfer to the driver more, for sure.
