Current Market Conditions GR86 2023

Hello all, been a long time member of this forum and currently own an AT FRS that I purchased new in 2013. If you look through my history I've created topics of converting my AT to MT . Thankfully I never went through with it!

Anyways I'm looking to purchase a new '23 GR86 or BRZ with a preference of going Toyota. I want the absolute most base model possible with MT. The only added option I want is the Halo white.

I've been out of the game in terms of paying attention to prices for either model and wanted to know:

- As the MY24 GR86 being to roll out at the end of the year, do the MY23 get a discount? Has this happened in the past year MY23 vs MY22?. I know Toyota is pretty no-nonsense about adding discounts to cars - essentially the MSRP price of a new car is the price you pay, unless it's used.

I found the perfect spec around 300 miles away from me (still in-state) with an SRP of $30,000. Just waiting to see if it would be worthwhile to wait for the '24 to come out to save money on '23. I have no desire to get the '24, only because it seems as the changes (leaks of eyesight, ACC for MT) aren't really what I'll be using the car for.
