Very common, it's a safety issue if you need to get out of the car quickly.
The DE groups could careless that it ruins a car's aero, you're not racing.
You just kind of deal with the wind buffeting. Helmets help to muffle some of it out.


Different groups have different rules for convertibles also. Some are top up, some are top down, even in light rain.
Some require arm restraints if you want top down, PCA for example.
