Very similar car, yes. Less mpg, also true. RTV issues, yeah but the 1st gen had this as well, friend o mine had his engine expire at ~76k miles, opened it up and found the pickup tube clogged with the stuff...
For me, going from '17 PP to a '23, the biggest differences are mpg (-10%), no CD-player

, and the new car is a TON faster at the track (130mph at Watkins Glen vs. 120mph in the old car). Oh yeah, and dinky brakes with sliding calipers, not really a big deal but the Brembos looked *sweeet* and pad changes were easier.
