It's a bitch to slide on there while under the car.

I used a torque solutions brand which is the same effect and ended up heating mine up in a pot of boiling water in a attempt to expand it a bit then greased it. Still put up a fight but eventually was able to get it on.


I did the front carrier bushing while I was under there as well. Adds a subtle NVH whine noise under certain conditions but shifts feel great. Noise was much worse with a short shifter before I uninstalled it. Having the carrier be more ridged makes shift engagement feel more solid. Doing the front + rear was more noticeable than just rear. I felt the rear bushing only on a friend's car before deciding what to do.

White line transmission insert also does a good job with slop but further adds some NVH. TRD/STi trans mount does a pretty good job doing essentially same thing with no added NVH.
