I'm fascinated by cemeteries, particularly that go back centuries. I want to read every tombstone. In college we did a performance of Spoon River Anthology. Based in a graveyard, it tells the tale of a town through short poems from those buried in the cemetery. I played half the male characters. Well worth a read if you into that type of thing.

Graveyards/cemeteries not the usual place to visit, but yesterday the college had made parking arrangements at the American cemetery so by chance we happen to see the place. It was rather understated but very majestic, size, the architecture and the location all adding to the atmosphere. Worth a visit if you ever in the UK and Cambridge on the doorstep..

Civilian cemeteries tell a story, Military cemeteries are full of awe and sacrifice. The first time I went to Arlington National Cemetery (for a friend's Father's internment), I basically couldn't speak. It was massively overwhelming. When they played taps I balled like a baby.
