It's not about the money - I don't want to go fast, I want to learn and have a tire I can trust for a 20-30 minute session without needing to manage heat or wear.

Would they? From what I read these "cheater" 200TW can barely handle a 20 minute session and wear out like butter. They're aimed at autocross and time trials, not HPDE.

And BTW, the common answer in the forum to the question "what tire pressure to run on track" is almost exclusively "it depends" with a bunch of caveats but not even a suggestion, so it's hard for a noob to get a starting point. I chose way too high to start with...
