If you want to, go for it! But don't apologize for "how things played out." Trust me. Humility is wonderfully cleansing for the soul. It's harder to say "I apologize for XYZ" than it is for expressing the desire to do so. 
I'm super happy for you either way! Remember how I suspected that the cracked header may have caused the leak by heating and distorting a sealed joint? Look carefully at where the flaming hot exhaust is directed. Is it torching anything? |

If I recall correctly, it’s not torching anything. It just looks like it failed, maybe due to pressure build up or something.
