Ditto over here (although I think I'm on just the other side of the state as you).
No concrete here, all asphalt. Our main local site is very smooth and easy on tires from a treadwear standpoint. Another smaller lot is more aggressive and has off-camber turns.
We saw the same results with 660's and the old 71R's. Mid-tread they were done from a heat cycle stand point. So I can't really say it's surface dependent... unless the 71RS really is effected by different surfaces differently for heat cycling or something, but I've never seen that before.
I ended up going with Yoks on my DS car because there was more data and I had success with them in 2021. I need a tire that can be relatively competitive for 150-160 runs. Having them fall off mid-season is frustrating.
