Is your car rusty AF? Torque spec on those is only 44ftlb on the castle nut and 74ftlb on the inner bolt. If you can't get the joint at the knuckle to pop off just use a ball joint separator, a pickle fork, or wack it with a hammer since you are replacing anyway. You shouldn't need an impact to handle that job.

The nut came off fairly easy, it’s the step of popping it out that proved difficult. No rust. Now that I see what I wrote, impact tools wouldn’t help with this. A pickle fork… yes, something that might have helped. I tried with a screwdriver for a few minutes
I whacked it with a hammer and a socket until my arm was tired, and it was later in the day so wrapped it up putting it back together.
Maybe some kind of inverse-jack-clamp type of thing would help. Clamp onto the bottom and push the bolt through.
