You might NOT want to try and restart the engine. If the valve timing is off you could bend some valves.
What codes were you getting?
Broken camshaft??? I cannot ever remember hearing of a broken camshaft and I've been around longer than Ewoks have been on Endor.
My engine ejected 2 rocker arms which jammed and bent the exhaust cam and broke the timing chain.
