I did this mod a while back combined with adjusting the clutch petal so its sits slightly lower for better foot placement. I also did the mtec shift springs, weighted shift knob, and a poly rear shifter bushing. Overall, the combo makes it a much better experience than stock. I can actually feel the engagement and the knob is much better getting into gear and out of gear.
I've seen that some have also replaced the clutch slave cylinder with one from an imprezda or wrx for a shorter throw, but it makes the petal even heavier. I don't think it would be ideal for daily with the mtec clutch spring or no spring in combo with a higher torque rated clutch disk.
