I'd just call around, or visit, your local Subaru dealerships first. I stopped by the one closest to me last Friday and there were 4 BRZs on the lot, of which only one had a "sold" tag hanging from the rear-view mirror. (Not saying the others aren't sold... just what I could see while walking through the rows of cars.)

They also had an assortment of other cars in stock too (Crosstreks, Outbacks, and 8 WRXs), which is surprising given how bare most other dealership lots have been lately. Local Toyota lots are still basically empty of any new vehicles.

Maybe I visited on a good day, maybe they're an outlier.... 'dunno.
