I mean I can rev it like crazy, from 1k to 4k or above. Zero popping/knocking or strange noises. Even let it fall from 4k to 3k and rev back to 4k over and over and over. Nothing.

For those that shared logs, were you guys actually logging what the car was doing when blipping the throttle from idle, and has tomm looked at the behavior in that instant? Probably a lot different than the typical inspection of the params during a pull through the rev range.
I watched the clip of the DI seal pop, it is similar in a way. I don't think the same thing though. What mine does is very much the same as NFS's from this post, if a bit less prominent. Very instant with the throttle blip.

I'm bone stock so can't log or really do anything about it aside from asking for more current SW (something I did A LOT with my WRX - get latest OEM SW in hopes of making the car drive better lol.) I will watch the thread to see where it goes.
