You mod for fun… gas consumption is negligible and shouldn’t be a factor in a sports car.

What’s your threshold a 1.875mpg loss? lol you get what I’m saying

The stock gearing to me is perfect for city and hwy balance. 4.3 would be fun for tight curvy roads and annoying on the highway especially with an exhaust.
I mean, idk what to tell you other than a bunch of other cars in this segment can pretty easily get 30mpg@80mph highway and this is one of the few that can't. Paired with a 10 gallon tank and I already feel like I'm constantly filling it up. It's not a big bill, its just the frequency.

Either way, I'm asking because its a mod that a few people have said is a good cheap mod to give the car a bit more torque. But I've never seen what the impact is on mpg. And tbh I'd just like to know.

If I had another car and this was a weekend driver then yeah I'd probably just put it on.

Maybe I'm just used to my old cooper S getting like 30+mpg @ 80mph with a 14 gallon tank.
