Car builders tend to recommend very light oil because the tiny little benefit they get looks good for the government on their CAFE standards. Someone posted an interesting thread here recently showing differing oil pressures at temperature per thousand RPM between 0W-20 and 5W-30. I thought it was significant. I run 5W-30 or 0W-30 in mine, depending on what I can get at the time. It gets hot in Florida.
