I've had a 2013 Scion FRS and now a 2022 GR86 so I can speak from experience.
While the FRS was a good looking car with decent performance (especially chassis and overall balance), the GR86 takes it to a whole new level. To me, the approach from FRS to GT86 to GR86 is what Porsche has done with the 911. Substantial improvement with each iteration. I like that approach because it allows designers and engineers to really finetune a car to its best possible version.

The GR86 stock is pretty good. But with a few mods like mine (springs, spacers, exhaust, badging), it really becomes a super enjoyable car. Baby Porsche on a budget.

I just did my own GR86 tribute video this week-end. I wanted to capture and share my mods in a short clip and slap on top the electric music I make (Supernova 49).
