I think engine longevity is more tied to build precision/quality than choice of lubricant. If the bearings are going to scuff hard, might as well get the rebuild over with sooner than later.
That brings us to how much PSI a given oil bearing can support. They aren't all equal, and why I've only ever used Mobil1 0w-40 in this engine.
