Believe me I am not being self deprecating when I say I have a fear of using gloss lacquers. I have never, ever, had a gloss coat I was even remotely happy with. Didn't matter much when doing most of the car models I do since they are old and beat on anyway. It is however very important that I master the process before I have to paint the '58 Nomad as it was very shiny and the only way to replicate the paint is to use spray can lacquer.

If I can repeatedly pull off a gloss coat half as good as @Kaotic Lazagna does I will be overjoyed.
