From silicone in the pickup? Nah. Higher oil temps would only improve flow through a clog or partial clog, and any decent synthetic (even a 0w-20) is going to have proper lubrication at higher temps. Although, at some point if temps are excessive: 1) you'd see it on the OEM gauge, and 2) the ECU would likely start pulling power to keep things safe. Unlike the oil pressure switch, the oil temp switch does interact with the ECU.
