between your post, and that diesel heater video, it's got me thinking about getting one as a furnace backup/power outage, and even setting one up in the garage instead of using a space heater when i'm out there. in the case of a furnace issue or power outage, i'll easily sacrifice a car battery out of either of my vehicles if it means staying warm... i doubt it'd heat the entire house, but even if it kept it above freezing...

even if it costs the same as electric in the US, it'd still be a great backup option...

Yeah I have propane heaters for this exact scenario. Need to be sure it's not going to poison you either, haha
