Completely disagree as well.

My final choice came down the 86 or Supra. I would have paid cash for either, so money was not a factor. Value however was. The Supra would have pretty much been twice the price of the 86 and was far from twice the car and may not even be the better car.

As for 1st gen vs 2nd gen, I have less than 4K miles on my 2020 GT86. Why in the hell would I even think of getting rid of it to replace it with something that has at best minor upgrades.
