Seems very odd that they wouldn't sell the premium version due to emissions? Maybe I just don't understand, but mechanically there is no difference I can see that would lead to emissions differences?

You will be loosing the adaptive headlights, heated seats, ducktail and upgraded interior trim though..

I'm not clear what the cost of aftermarket wheels tires, etc are in your market. But unless you are really in love with design they are offering, I'd assume you'd be better off buying aftermarket wheels and tires yourself.

Most who have experience with these cars on track seem to agree that upgraded pads and fluid are sufficient for occasional track use.

Who is upgrading the front brakes in the second package? Dealer? Importer? I'd be concerned that the proper R&D to maintain brake balance is not being done, but a lot of people swap brake without taking this into consideration..
