Hi everyone,

My car is the Toyota 86 2017 Facelift model.

Without enough research, I went ahead and flashed 2013 rom on the ECU which may have bricked my ECU. I am unsure if it's fully bricked as I am still able to read and write to the ECU using ECU FLASH. However my engine no longer starts.

I have seen a post from steve99 https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...10&postcount=1

that says, "K00x roms are for 2017 cars only, do not flash earlier roms to 2017 cars else you will trigger a security lockout and car will not start . you will need to perform the ECU replacement ecu resync proceedure to get car to start after flashing back a 2017 rom."

Things I have done,
- Removed battery and insert back
- Flashed 2017 Roms
- Flashed my stock rom with no definitions (create from scratch)

None of these has worked because the ecu is probably in security lock mode.

Is there anyone who knows how to reset the ecu so that I can remove the security lock mode and start my engine?

As of now, my ecu is flashed with my stock rom which is ZA1JK01B

Would really appreciate you guys on your inputs to this thread.
