Completely agree with @Grady. I've always used the cheap plastic alignment tools and never have had a problem. They will droop, so hold a little upward pressure until 2-3 of the pressure plate bolts are snug. Once torqued, make sure the tool will easy slide in and out a couple of times. Then cuddle.
