Not in my experience. The GC can only get 265s in the front in stock classing and that's its achillies heal, other cars that it competes against can fit 285-295s in the front. The car needs a front sway bar to have any inside wheel traction and between that and the small front tires the car just doesn't perform like its numbers says it should. Been there, done that.

Now I know the track is different because power factors in a ton more but every thing is relative and I rarely go to the road courses anymore. So autocross performance is what I've been more interested in lately and it's not just always about pure performance, its also about enjoyment. While I can get an STi to turn similar times around a tight autox course as a Boxster, the Boxster is 10x more fun to do it. That won't show up in any magazine but others that were able to do the same thing agreed 100% with that experience.
