1000cc injectors would be enough fuel for about 650whp; stock K20 injectors wouldn't even be close.

Likewise, stock FA20 injectors can do basic boost, but not with E85.

The injectors get you fueling overhead to deliver enough fuel. The weakest link will always vary with setup.
