if there was an instance of over-rev and that was the reason the engine blew, then i agree it was worded very poorly.



i feel regardless the tech and service writer have to reword it to either sound correct, or show proof to back up what they are claiming.

Warranty work is paid on established book time(flat rate), same as any other job. As a tech you can dispute the time if it seems like it is off though with the gen2 not being that different from the gen1 I doubt this is the case. If anything, this would be a long block R&R. Being a new car, clean and no corroded fasteners, guys would be fighting to do the long block replacement. This is an easy one.
