Regardless how this motor blew up, at this point it's overall concerning the number of motors that have popped. I understand it's technically not that many, but it seems to be growing. I've never owned a subaru, but I have friends that have, and I've seen all the meme's, and maybe these motors just aren't up to the task or I'm used to other platforms being significantly more robust.

Personal opinion, but I don't think anyone should be tracking these cars without at the least an oil cooler. I understand it can "void" your warranty, but it seems like these cars need all the help they can get. There has to be an oiling issue, maybe even oil pan baffles are required in conjunction with an oil cooler.

As to why street car motors are spinning bearings at 12k miles, that is another mystery all together.
