You're right, they wanted an all around well performing car. Great gas mileage while cruising at 2.5k and then great performance above 4.5k. The good thing is that you get to choose how you utilize fuel economy or power at any given time. We're also talking about a 2.0L 4 cyl motor here. This is no LS3 V8 in a Camaro making 400tq.
