Should work. Just be sure to keep the valve as a separate bolt-on part.
I've talked to a number of people with custom cars at car shows with the electric valves(trying to figure out which brand was best), and they all say they burn up pretty quickly from the exhaust heat, so they all just planned to replace as needed to maintain the 2 exhaust options
