In facts, the GR86 that is more a drift car, retains the old setup.
To be verified, the opposite position of the bar, in my opinion, using the same links, will put the bar less parallel to the ground.
New BRZ bracket is bolted onto the subframe. Only the inner shims of the bushes are contacted with the new BRZ bracket.
GR86 brackets which welded at the subframe move freely within the play allowed by the subframe bushes, but the BRZ bracket is secured with the chassis.
When the LCA of GR86 moves up, the bracket also moves slightly and the position difference between the LCA and the sway bar reduced.
When the LCA of BRZ moved up, the bracket position is not changed so the sway bar can do its role fully.
