Yeah, slower than the GR86. Barely beat the Acura TLX. That can’t look good for Nissan. I think they went with a Miata mentality on soft suspension, touring compliance, but more for comfort since the car doesn’t have adjustable active dampers like the Mustang or Supra. I agree with them that probably the car could be sorted out with aftermarket suspension.
Now, their track is fairly tight, which favors precision and light weight, which is probably also why the Camaro ZL1 1LE only bested the Camaro SS 1LE on Cup2s by a half second. Probably also why the Golf R was four seconds slower than the CTR.
