What specifically would you be hoping to accomplish with this “check”? Once the pan is off the dealership will have to reseal. Is your goal to pay for them to remove whatever sealant was applied from factory and redo by hand? In terms of risk aversion this seems like a lateral move at best given it’s completely up to the tech to properly execute the second application.
