This is true. I went to Subaru Parts of America and did a little more digging.

Correction to my previous response.
Oil Filter Part Number:
15208AA170
Crush Washer:
803916010 (There's different ones listed)
Torque: 28.9 Ft/Lbs (Or whenever is nice and snug if you don't have a torque wrench)
Don't need to replace the plug every time, just try not to damage it. (
