I put over 100sq ft of fatmat in my volkswagen around 4 or 5 years ago, MOST of it held up great. When I installed it I used a heat gun and roller to make sure it stuck well, it was great for about a year then I started having some issues with it. Everything on the doors, floor, trunk was fine, where I had the problem was in the headliner. After about a year almost all of the Fatmat under the headliner had fallen down and created quite the mess. Im not sure if it didn't adhere properly when I put it on or if it just wasn't made to last, but everywhere else in the car it worked GREAT. I still recommend Fatmat to people as most of it held up well for me.

Also, I was putting more than double in my car as you did yours, I had a layer covering the entire ceiling and doubled over in a couple of bad spots (had 2 2000 watt subs+1000 watts to my 4 door speakers, the roof literally moved up and down between 1/4 and 1/2 inch when the bass hit hard enough), so that could have been part of the reason it fell down, lots of weight hanging on itself, I would guess the amount you have should be fine.
