Now that truly sucks! And agreement should be an agreement even if they had the circumstances change there is no reasonable excuse for that.
If you had a written contract you could certainly fight it but at some point it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Probably wouldn't want to work with that dealer anymore anyway.
