I don't see how the suspension height is related to jack stand height. So long as you can lift the car high enough, use a jack stand for that height. For the sake of working under the car I would opt for the highest possible jack and jack stands.
The only impact of lowering the car is on which jacks can reach the lifting points, but that's easily solved with low ramps (one or two inches) that you roll you car onto before using the jack to raise it.
