Funny - I'm in the exact same boat waiting for someone to be the guinea pig.
For whatever it's worth the IRP shifter fits the second gen BRZ, as confirmed by an owner on the facebook board. If that's any sign the CAE would/could fit just as well but I don't know enough about the installation of both to be certain it will.
