If it's not already available on your car (I have a feeling it isn't), then you could look into an aftermarket head unit that has it and swap to that. It's certainly not the most cost effective thing, but thankfully there are a lot of head units that just drop right into our dash and prices always come down as tech becomes more commonplace. If it's a capability you'd already like to have in the car and will use it for more than just running an app for car data then it's probably worth it, and keeps you from having to have multiple devices/gauges in the car and more work.

This actually made me curious, having an automatic myself, and there is a Transmission temp readout in the Torque app, but as far as I can tell it just matches up with the coolant temp readout. I may have to go on a bit of a back road run to see if they end up reading any differently from each other, but if not then the reading doesn't seem as helpful as it could be.

Thanks for the tip, man. No my head unit is a stock head unit. Did you ever go on that test drive?
